Shiny New Year

A couple of things led me to this blog account I set up - oh - probably 2 years ago (and never used).  I read these words of Neil Gaiman and thought, wow, that is exactly what I would wish for me and for those I love:

May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art -- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.

So here I am surprising myself by posting something on my blog - who knows were this will lead!  2013 was a chaotic year for the Dude and me - we decided to build a house!  Put our home up for sale and sold  it in the first weekend.  Moved into a rental, all the while making the decisions on how to build our new "nest".  A week before Christmas, we moved in - if you can call it that - New Year's Eve and we are still sorting, organizing, reorganizing, etc., etc.

So on the cusp of this shiny new year, I am hoping for less chaos, more order (want to get my jewelry/mixed media pursuit up and running).  But me being me, I love Mr. Gaiman's wishes for Magic, Dreams, and Good Madness!!!

Happy New Year!!
